I rented the car online for my husband. The rate was much cheaper than other rental companies for a nicer vehicle. When reserving the vehicle, I stated he didn’t need the insurance. When he went to pick up the rental, the car we rented wasn’t available so he was given a complimentary upgrade. However, they also charged him for the insurance. I contacted customer service immediately and they notated the account. I was still unsure it would actually be reimbursed, especially with his early flight and turning in before opening. I contacted customer service again. They advised if invoice wasn’t correct to reach back out. I am happy to say we received the invoice for the correct amount and card was charged accordingly. We will definitely use Sixt whenever it is available.
