We hired a car for the day to drive around Madeira. The team were very friendly and were happy to give us advice and recommendations. We were encouraged (but in no way pressured) to consider tyre cover due to driving in the mountains. We were glad we did, as there had been a storm the day before and we saw a few cars with punctures due to rocks/debris on the roads. Luckily we did not need the cover. I was also impressed that the team did not allow us to drive away in the first car we were given as it seemed to be making a funny noise (I had not noticed this, the staff were quick to give us a replacement car). Handing the car back was easy and the team were very friendly and polite. Would definitely use again and have recommended my parents use Sixt Funchal when they visit in a few months
