Good experience. Assurance was suggested with a bit of fear mongering but in li(e with our expectations and not pushed that hard anyway. As a couple we rented a fiat 500 whicgh was perfect for our every need (smalj is better in Sicily). The return was quick and the employee (Francesco I believe) was polite and nice. Points to improve : general to six I believe, you dont see what you sign and it's pretty annoying, you must sign on a tablet yet cant read the contract beforehand, you must sign on the return yet cant be sure whether you're signing on a returning a beatup car or perfect car.

I had a terrible experience with a competing rental agency. I went to the Sixt desk and Olga immediately assisted me with a rental for my international vacation. She was kind and sympathetic and offered to upgrade my rental to something safer and more comfortable at the same rate as a compact vehicle. The process took less than 5 minutes and I was on the road to enjoy my vacation. Pick up and return were a breeze and I can safely say that Sixt saved my vacation from absolute disaster. Great experience renting from Sixt in Catania. Sixt is our go-to when renting in Europe. Brand new upgraded car, no problems, efficient check in and return. Very friendly and helpful Sixt representative Alessio at return. Just wish the airport had better signage but that’s not Sixt.
