SIXT Australia Car hire – Triple Points offer terms and conditions

During the promotional period of 12:01AM AEST on 02 June 2025 to 11:59PM AEST on 31 July 2025 (Offer Period), for travel dates between 02 June 2025 to the 31 August 2025. Velocity members will earn nine (9) Velocity Points per $1 spent on the base rental cost of Australia car hires (usual earn rate of three (3) Velocity Points per $1 spent) booked with SIXT Direct via SIXT Triple Points Campaign webpage (Triple Points Offer).

An eligible car hire means any booking made during the Offer Period and where the Velocity member adds their Velocity membership number to the booking and only direct bookings via the SIXT.com.au. Triple Points offer does not apply for bookings made via Virgin Australia and Velocity partner pages.

The Triple Points Offer does not apply to tier bonus Points earn for Silver, Gold & Platinum Velocity members which are earned in addition to the base Velocity Points. For car hire within Australia for every $1 eligible the following tier bonus applies:

• Silver members receive an extra 1.5 bonus Velocity Points;

• Gold members receive an extra 2.25 bonus Velocity Points; and

• Platinum members receive an extra 3 bonus Velocity Points.

A Velocity membership number must be added at the time of booking to be eligible to earn Points and only for SIXT pay-later bookings. Cancelled reservations or reservations not used will not be eligible to earn Points. Please allow up to eight (8) weeks after the end of the SIXT Car rental for your Velocity Points to be credited to the Member’s Velocity account.

To earn Points you must be a Velocity member. This offer, Velocity membership and Points earn are subject to the Velocity membership Terms and Conditions as amended from time to time.

Members will not earn Points for rentals on prepaid bookings (Pay now option) - except for rentals in USA and Canada. Van & Truck rentals, on wholesale rates, staff and industry rates, rentals with a value below $ 44 AUD equivalent in local currency, restricted rate plans that SIXT has entered into with third parties (SIXT Products only) (except for any third party which has been nominated by Velocity or Virgin Australia to provide car rental services for Velocity or Virgin Australia operated channels or websites), long-term rates (ie. rentals longer than 28 consecutive days), some corporate rates defined by each company and their individual corporate contracts, damage liability cover, optional insurance, vehicle registration fee, premium location fee, admin fee, taxes, GST, one-way fees, age surcharges, additional driver fees and equipment such ski racks, baby/booster seats or GPS rental costs. Please note that not all car types will be available. Velocity Membership and points earned is subject to the Velocity Membership Terms and Conditions, as amended from time to time. All car rentals are governed by SIXT’s standard Terms and Conditions.
