Where to find your vehicle provider at Brisbane Airport<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Whether you\u2019re disembarking a domestic flight or a long-haul journey from the other side of the world, you don\u2019t want to get lost when you arrive.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The good news is that most vehicle providers are on-site.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To find SIXT, look out for the signs pointing to rental vehicles. Follow them across the sky bridge, then take a lift to the ground floor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SIXT is on the eastern side \u2013 keep your eyes peeled for our bright orange colours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After greeting you with a warm welcome, our staff will answer your questions, request your documentation (including your driver\u2019s licence), present your keys and take you to your SIXT car rental. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What types of vehicles are available to hire?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At Brisbane Airport, you\u2019ll find a car rental to suit you \u2013 wherever your holiday takes you and however you long you stay. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SIXT, being one of the world\u2019s biggest car rental companies, has a big collection of vehicles. They range from hybrids, which help you keep your eco-footprint to a minimum, to automatic sedans, which are a dream to drive, to full-size vans, which let you bring your friends or family with you.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A range of optional extras is on offer, such as GPS units, prepaid fuel, toll tags and child seats, allowing you to tailor your trip to meet your needs.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Driving in Queensland: Essential tips for international drivers<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Never driven in Australia before? Or maybe it\u2019s been a while, and you need to brush up on the road rules? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Driving in Queensland is pretty straightforward (and a lot of fun), but there\u2019s a few things you should know. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, like a small number of other countries, we drive on the left, and overtake on the right. Our speed limits, measured in kilometres per hour, are mandatory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s illegal to use a mobile phone while driving, unless it\u2019s hands-free, and passengers are required to wear seat belts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also against the law is drink driving \u2013 and, if you\u2019re caught, you could find yourself with a criminal record. The blood alcohol limit for most drivers is 0.05% \u2013 and, for some, it\u2019s even lower. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Petrol stations near Brisbane Airport<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a good idea to refuel on your way back to the airport. That way, you\u2019ll save time and avoid paying any refuel fees to you car rental provider.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are at least three petrol stations nearby. You\u2019ll find BP on Airport Drive, Caltex Woolworths on Nudgee Road and Shell Coles Express on Kingsford Smith Drive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pick-up and drop-off information<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Picking up and dropping off your rental vehicle at Brisbane Airport is pretty straightforward. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At both ends, take a few photos of the car, so you have a record of its condition, both before and after driving. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To return any SIXT vehicle, follow the signs marked \u201crental returns\u201d (on signs and in-lane). SIXT Brisbane Airport<\/a> is at the very end of Moreton Drive all the way to the end.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please park in one of our designated bays, then leave your keys with our staff. Or, if you\u2019re arriving after hours, pop them in the drop box. In the domestic terminal, you\u2019ll find it on the pillar next to the SIXT branch. In the international terminals, it\u2019s on the SIXT desk in arrivals on level 2. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
