SIXT Australia are pleased to announce our partnership with the Gold Coast Suns as the club’s new Co-Major Partner for the next three years.

To celebrate the announcement, lifelong SUN and 158-game veteran Alex Sexton has agreed to go by the name Alex Sixton, and becoming the face of the new partnership announcement.

SIXT was officially welcomed to the SUNS this morning at Metricon Stadium, with Sixton joined by SUNS players, coaches and administration staff including SUNS Chief Executive Mark Evans, who was thrilled to have SIXT on board.

\u201cThis is a monumental announcement for the club to be joining forces with SIXT as our new Co-Major Partner,\u201d Evans said.

\u201cTo attract an international brand like SIXT shows the progress our club is making off the field to give ourselves the best opportunity to contend on-field.

\u201cAs a national sporting team in one of the premier tourism destinations in the world here on the Gold Coast, there are fantastic opportunities for SIXT to go above and beyond in growing their brand and suite of mobility products in our community, and likewise we hope to attract new fans to the SUNS.

\u201cWe\u2019re also excited about the opportunities to create unique activations with SIXT at Metricon Stadium and on SUNS match days \u2013 opportunities that cannot be rivalled by any other professional team in Australia.\u201d

The partnership will be the first of its kind for the Gold Coast SUNS, with SIXT to feature prominently and align across both the GC SUNS AFL and AFLW playing guernseys.

SIXT CEO Matt Beattie said this partnership would help cement SIXT\u2019s role across South-East Queensland as a premier car rental business and the organisation looked forward to working with both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s Suns teams as they embarked on the 2023 season.

\u201cBoth the Gold Coast Suns and SIXT Australia are on the same trajectory of growth and success and I am immensely proud to announce this important partnership today,\u201d Mr Beattie said.

\u201cThe Gold Coast<\/a> and South-East Queensland<\/a> are important regions for SIXT\u2019s plan and we saw a lot of similarities in the culture of both organisations that we knew would make this partnership a success. There is so much positive change happening in the car rental sector and I am proud of the leadership role SIXT is playing in this space, particularity with the roll-out of our nationwide electric vehicle<\/a> fleet \u2013 now is the perfect time for SIXT to partner with the Gold Coast Suns.\u201d

While SIXT is at the forefront of delivering an award-winning customer experience that excites and drives loyalty, they are also invested in building sustainable foundations, with a commitment to a 50% electric vehicle fleet by 2026.

As the Official Vehicle Hire Partner of the Gold Coast SUNS, the partnership will also provide benefits to dedicated SUNS members and supporters over the next three AFL and AFLW campaigns.
