City Centre car hire is in the Omni Q-Parks on Greenside Row, next to Waverley Station. Within sight of Balmoral Hotel, it's only about 300 yards from Princes Street, the main shopping boulevard. From the station, take the Calton Road exit, under the arch and turn right into Greenside Row. The car park entrance is on your left, five minutes from the station. From Edinburgh Bus Station turn right into York Place, onto Broughton Street till the roundabout, then onto Leith Street, and turn left into Greenside Row. You can return your car to the same place when leaving Edinburgh.

The Edinburgh Playhouse is right next door to our car park, and Calton Hill looks out over the city centre, atop of which you'll find the Scottish National Monument, Nelson's Monument and Robert Burns' memorial. And no visit to the city would be complete without a visit to venerable Edinburgh Castle, one of the most famous tourist attractions in the UK.

Overall had a good experience with SIXT Edinburgh City Centre! In my opinion there aren't enough signs for directions to SIXT in the parking garage although they're not that difficult to find. I booked a Volkswagen Golf (or similar), we got a Renault Clio which was a perfectly fine car! On the return rapport it was written that there were 3 new scratches found (superficial) which I doubt were new to be honest but we weren't charged anything extra. The people were nice and helpful and it was a quick process.

I recently rented a car from Sixt in Edinburgh. The staff were extremely helpful and made the process go quickly and smoothly! Adrian, in particular, went above and beyond to help when I left an item in the car (which I did not noticed until I had returned to the US). The car itself was clean and ran perfectly on our day trip to St. Andrews. I highly recommend them.
