Good to know when renting in Spain
In Spain you must drive on the right-hand lane and speaking on mobiles while driving is strictly forbidden, cars will flash their headlights to indicate they will overtake you.
In Spain you can pay tolls with cash or credit card, generally when you enter one toll you will receive a ticket to pay at the next toll.
If you hire a car with us in Spain any major credit can be used, including American Express, Diners Club, Mastercard and Visa.
UK licences are accepted as normal, while Non-EU driver licences are accepted if you have a valid visa, if you have been in Europe more than 6 moths you must have an EU licence (besides Switzerland).
It is often possible to leave the car in a different city or even another country, use the booking tool to see availability, this is not possible between the islands.
In Spain the minimum age to hire a car is only 18 years old! We have excellent economy class cars for younger drivers available, but there is a charge for drivers under 23.
