Try a visit to the 'Boulevard of Gastronomy', a market designated just for food, for which this city is famous. The city also has a beautiful array of parks with fountains to cool off in, and even a golf course in the centre of the financial district. Along its coastal stretches, the surf is great for surfing, so why not put a board in the boot of your car and take off for the beach. Or if the history of Peru interests you, take a trip to 'Aliaga' house which dates from 1535. It is the oldest, and best preserved colonial house to see. Then kick back, park the car and try the local brandy, 'Pisco', but watch out, it's very strong!
