We had a great experience with Sixt at Tocumen and would recommend. Specifically, staff at the check-in desk was really informative and helpful, and gave us great tips for our trip. I appreciated that Sixt includes the insurance in the price and that pricing felt very transparent overall. The contract does mention the large deposit but that should be more clear; it seemed to be the biggest complaint in other reviews. Overall, we had great service and felt we got a good price for the rental. I would definitely recommend and use Sixt again.

Despite the many horror stories about car rental at Tocumen International Airport, I had a good experience with Sixt. I made a reservation online through the company's website and received the vehicle at the stated price. In view of the poor state of the roads in Panama, I opted for full insurance coverage from the company. The car itself had 130,000 miles on it and was a bit dinged up (hence the four star rating), but I had no problems with it on the road. The office staff were polite and professional and the lot staff were friendly. I did take extensive photos of the car before leaving the lot, but at no point did I feel that the staff were behaving dishonestly. I would rent from this branch again.
