The desk in the terminal was very helpful and quick with processing the booking. The Sixt parking area is close to the terminal. The staff at the parking area were not helpful. I had to check and verify the damage report, and the fuel was meant to be full but was well below full.

Staff very good and efficient. Only downside was although I’d purchased a top insurance separately which insisted I’d need no more coverage, the staff did try to scare me into taking out an additional insurance for apparently vandalism 🤔

Selected a "BMW1 or similar", recieved an Alfa Romeo Stelvio Veloce Q4. The car was great and basically new. The pick up and return procedures were seamless. Recommended.

Good to know when renting in Italy

Under 25 Car Hire

In Italy to hire most cars the minimum age is 18 years old; you must simply hold a valid licence for at least a year and it induces a surcharge when under 25.

One-Way Car Hire

During the booking period, select a different drop-off location to check availability, it must be organized beforehand, or charges will apply.

Crossing Borders

It may cost a little extra, but you can cross into most European countries surrounding Italy, it’s always best to make such journeys clear to us during pick-up.

UK driving licences continue to be valid in Italy. With other non-EU licences you must provide a passport and it's suggested you carry an International Driving Permit. If in Europe for more than 6 months then an EU licence is required.
