Also known as Niederrhein airport, Weeze airport is just 4 miles northwest of Kevelaer and only 21 miles from the border with The Netherlands. The airport is well situated for those wanting to explore the Lower Rhine region of Germany, or indeed those looking to drive into The Netherlands. The airport welcomed just over 1.5 million passengers last year - an 80% increase on the previous year - mainly due to the addition of Ryanair as a new airline there.
