Take the motorway A7 with direction Kiel/Flensburg. After nearly 70km please move to the motorway A215 with direction Bordesholm/Kiel. After 20km take the exit B202/B76 to direction Lübeck/Ostuferhafen. Follow the B76 straight on and use one of the right ways to the exit Tonberg/Stormarnstraße. At the traffic light go straight on and leave the way left way to Tonberg/Stormarnstraße. The SIXT branch is now right in front of you next to the pizza service Domino's.
B76 (Plön - Kiel)
Follow the motorway B76. Leave it at the exit Zentrum/Wunderino Arena/Tonberg/Stormarnstraße. Now follow the signs Tonberg/Stormarnstraße and turn right before the petrol station HEM. After that follow the main street. On the left side you can see the hardware store Dehner. After that, you will find the SIXT branch next to Domino's pizza service.
With public transportation
Leave the bus at the station Barkauer Kreuz. The branch is across the street in the ground floor next to Domino's pizza service.

The office itself has a very nice and ultra efficient staff. All my papers were checked and I got the key to the car in less than five minutes. The online booking is quite simple and very well explained. Works well even if you book via the ADAC page.
However, I now thrice had the experience that car damages were attributed to me or my driver, which in neither case was the fact. The last time the person handing me the car even made comments about the damages that were later said to have been caused by me. In all cases this turned out to be nothing more than an inconvenience, but it still left a stale taste.
