Dresden Airport (DRS) is a major German international airport. It operates as a gateway to the important State of Saxony, in the heartlands of Germany. Things to see and do in Dresden
Dresden is a major German city in the State of Saxony. The historic centre of the city suffered hugely during the Second World War but some signs of the old city do remain. Visitors are advised to visit the hugely impressive city park, the Grosser Garten. If you have access to a car rental company, it makes sense to drive out of the city to see the German border with the Czech Republic, an interesting site given the history of the two countries. Back in the city centre the huge collection of books housed in the Saxon State Museum are also of great interest.
