Good to know when renting in France
A credit card is required for any car hire in France and we accept all major cards. However, debit cards and prepaid cards are not accepted.
There are various tolls in France that can be paid with cash or card. Generally you will receive a ticket entering a major motorway and pay it on the way out.
It is possible to choose a different drop-off location within or outside of France. Check using the booking tool but please be aware of an additional fee for this.
Your UK licence is valid to use in France without an International Driving Permit. Always drive on the right side of the road and never use a mobile while driving. Also be aware of the speed limit differences between wet and dry roads.
The minimum car hire age in France is just 18 years old. Be aware the driver must hold a valid licence for at least 2 years and a surcharge is included for young drivers.
