Summer in Barcelona

It goes without saying that Barcelona is one of the best cities to visit in Europe practically year round. In summer the days are extremely hot but to be expected and as such the city knows how to make the best of it. Being by the sea one of the most obvious choices is to head to the beach, and a hired SUV could be perfect for that especially if public transport is sweltering and crowded. Other things to consider are the Open-Air Cinemas, such as Cinema Lliure - a free Indy event that takes place on the beach. The Grec Festival takes place each summer, which is a series of performances in an amphitheatre built into the side of Montjuïc. At night the city boasts its incredible bar and market scene and in August when many of the locals are on holiday is when the popular series of street parties called The Festa Major de Gràcia takes place.

EDIT: The Sixt staff looked into my concern and has resolved the issue. I appreciate them taking the time to look into this even though I didn't expect anything to occur but appreciate them being proactive and willing to try and make my experience better as I use Sixt EVERYWHERE they're available (USA, Germany, Estonia, Italy, etc.). They went above and beyond to do what they could when they didn't even have to, it's definitely something I don't take lightly and shows the reason why I use Sixt. Previously written: Wasn't too thrilled with the process of getting a car. Felt like I was scammed and been using Sixt for YEAR'S and never had this feeling. My reservations were clearly ignore about what insurance I wanted. The car I could should have gotten was going to be 45 Mins and then turns out a car more expensive became magically available and will be faster and turns out to be 18/Day more. I wouldn't be too bad but the car took about 40 Mins, so 5 minutes less than the original rental I requested due to it being an Auto and asked if any other car I could rent but was told no more Automatic. But what got me more, when I was in the garage looking at the other cars and they weren't all Manual like I was told they were. I took a video as I passed by of the Automatics. Not one person entered that place, I find it very difficult to believe they were rented and give to me and go to the other location they did with me (if they really did) and replace it? Very weird. If I didn't like Sixt/+, this would be the last I ever dealt with them but I know they're better in other countries (can't say Spain, only been to one rental store).
